Clinical Psychologist Hatice Balkan works with adults from a psychoanalytic \/ Lacanian perspective. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Psychology was completed at International Balkan University, Skopje, North Macedonia, followed by a Master\u2019s degree in Clinical Psychology at Vizja University, Warsaw, Poland. Currently pursuing a full-time PhD at the University of Barcelona, with doctoral studies conducted within the Psychopathology, Personality, and Psychotherapeutic Interventions research line at the Departament de Psicologia Cl\u00ednica i Psicobiologia, Faculty of Psychology, University of Barcelona.<\/p>

During undergraduate studies, participation took place in the Erasmus+ exchange programme at the University of New York Tirana, Albania, alongside clinical and research-based placements in Spain and T\u00fcrkiye through Erasmus+ traineeship programmes. During the Master\u2019s programme, research assistance was provided at the Institute of Psychology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland, with active involvement in EEG and tDCS studies, including data collection and preprocessing. This experience further developed expertise in scientific research and neuropsychological methods.<\/p>

In clinical practice, the focus is not limited to the client\u2019s symptoms but also extends to desire, relational patterns, and recurring internal dynamics. From a Lacanian psychoanalytic perspective, therapy is approached not as a space in which ready-made solutions are provided, but as a process through which the individual explores and makes sense of their own subjective position.<\/p>

Face-to-face sessions are offered in Barcelona, while online sessions are available to clients from different parts of the world.
